Vicarious

Alas, it has all finished. Last night the Latest patch 3.0.2 was released making all further progression null and void when considering our competitive progression against other guilds on Thaurissan.

It has been both a challenging and exciting time for the last year since Vicarious first came into existence as a small raiding guild made up from a group of friends. It has been a fun time with lots of boss killings and lots of LOL’s while raiding. It has also been good to see what a casual raiding guild is able to achieve. I have no doubt the next year or 2 will be even more rewarding.

For the next month or so we will be still trying to get those bosses we couldn’t get prior to the patch. I will still be taking screenies of the kills however we can’t consider these kills as BC Progression.
 
The officers are working together on a comprehensive plan of action come the WoTLK expansion. Our guild will now be on an even playing field and we will be able to start progressing from day 1. I encourage everyone to get ready for the expansion and prepare to level hard so we can look at gearing up and attempting our first 10 man raids. Also as the honour points will not be removed we encourage everyone to start banking honour points to give yourself and the guild an advantage in the expansion. Yes PVP epics are still better then greens for PVE.

I have also been looking at a more flashy website with support for wowarmory integration, DKP and loot tracking, our own domain (eg: www.vicarious.com), Dynamic Item Linking, and other cool stuff. Fear not, I will be downloading all the images we have recording our progression and uploading them onto our new site in a gallery for guild memorabilia.

You may have noticed a few more recruits among our ranks. In preparation for the Expansion we have started recruiting again to give us an upper hand. If you have any friends who would fit in and want to get into a raiding guild like Vicarious let one of the officers or class leaders know. Also any Guild members who are currently ranked as “Friend of Guild” who are keenly interested in getting into a raiding environment in WoTLK let an officer know.

The officers have also been considering changing our loot system from loot council to a Dragon Kill Points system to hopefully promote more raid attendance and involvement within the guild from our members. However this is not certain to happen but if you feel you have a point to make concerning this please feel free to let us know. This is open to discussion for all core and sub-core members. Your opinions concerning this are valuable. For the time being however the Loot Council will still be in place.
